This species of bee that I have seen tend to be very common during the earliest part of spring, when bulbs are blooming - they seem to prefer squills for their energy source. They can be easily mistook for honey bees except that their bottom is fully black, not striped.

A word of caution: The species is unknown so this section is for the unidentified mining bee species until a specialist could be found.
