Coleus
Coleus is the common name for Plectranthus scutellarioides, a species of flowering plant in the family Lamiaceae. Native to southeast Asia and Malaysia, the coleus is a bushy, woody, evergreen perennial and can grow up to 30 inches in height and width. It is known for its striking leaves, which have a sharp contrast in color (e.g. green and pink). This is due to pigments found in the leaves in addition to chlorophyll. Thanks to their beauty, coleuses are cultivated as an ornamental plant, though one species was consumed by Mazatec Indians for its mind-altering properties.
