Grows well for me in damp, dense shade. Prefers moist conditions, but tolerates dry. Challenging to propagate - I have had no success from cuttings, or seeds. Literature suggests using root sprouts. Frost tender! It died to the ground in the extended cold that hit southern Florida this past year. I hoped it would come back, but no such luck.
