It’s just a mess!
I wondered who likes this plant and apparently people who like dried flowers grow it.
That’s the only way this plant could look good — if it was dried and stuck in an arrangement with many other, better looking flowers.
I’m guessing the reason nurseries grow it and sell it is because it is a very vigorous grower. If you like it, you’d better allow a lot of room for it because it will cover a large area, flopping, sprawling and covering nearby plants with its dull nubs of brownish purple fuzz that pass for flowers.
It looks nothing like pictures I’ve seen of it online.
I should’ve taken a picture if it before I yanked it out to show people what it really looks like.

In...Read More both rich and poor soil, with or without watering, growth is spindly, it tends to flop, and the flowers have gotten small and pale. I would not buy this variety again.

It has been reliably and very drought tolerant in my dry and rocky soil. Would probably do better in a slightly less dry spot.
