BTW, though the courts declared that, for legal purposes, 'Jolly Bee' is the same as "Rozanne", the scientific evidence presented in court did not prove that they were the same clone, only that the then current technology could not distinguish them by their DNA or their morphology. That doesn't mean that there aren't genetic differences, or that their garden behavior/performance is identical.

Very polite spreader - not lanky, as some geraniums are. I "collect" geraniums, and this is my favorite so far! Love 'Rozanne', too, but this one is more floriferous and I prefer the growth habit of 'Jolly Bee'.

The second year (2009), it has been in constant, solid bloom since early May, and resembles a low-growing, airy hedge (it climbs plants nearby but doesn't smother them). The flowers are pink-hued violet, more toward purple than true blue, in 3/4 day sun (borderline Zone 6/7). This is a fantastic plant which exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

This variety blooms longer than the other hardy geraniums in my garden, still going well into November! I cut it back in August to tidy up a spreading habit and it recovered very quickly with fresh foliage and blooms. This variety is superior and true to its name, attracting lots of bees.

Suppose to be zone 4 hardy and closely resembles Gerwat. Flowers is close to true blue, large and have pink veins. Grows rapidly.

This is a 2008 addition in my garden. Hybridizer is Marco van Noort (Netherlands). Introduced in 2003.
I just planted 'Jolly Bee' last spring (2007) and it bloomed from Spring until mid fall. It was a wonderful addition to my new garden.
This was a most amazing plant - beautiful vivid blue blooms and a marvelous scrambling airy kind of growth pattern. I loved it!
