I purchased one of these plants two years ago from Lowe's. It made it through the drought and heat in Houston last summer, but I did have to keep it watered.
We had a few below freezing nights this past winter and I covered the plant with a cardboard box. It survived quite well and is now blooming profusely! I get so many compliments on it! (I have it planted near my mailbox.)
Now all I need are a couple of the other colors - particularly the coconut and the strawberry! :)
These plants seem to be difficult to find. And they ARE pricey ($25.00 in a decorative container at Lowe's). But well worth the cost.
I have been looking to buy this gerbera jamesonii and cannot find in my area locally or on the internet. Any ideas on where I can buy?
