This species is early flowering and has a superb perfume. As with most Freesia species it is winter growing and the corms should be planted in Autumn. Easily grown from seeds which are also sown in Autumn, 0.5 cm deep in free-draining compost at 15-20º centigrade and grown on under cool bright conditions.
