It is considered slightly less likely to harbour the virus some other L. lancifolium do although the double flower may well be caused by a virus itself. It has been known and grown in gardens since at least the 1700s, it may even date back further.
Loves a moist but well drained spot in sun or light shade.
It is now blooming in my zone 7b garden. Love the eyecatching double blooms!
