Some of my favorite facts are listed below:
1. All of the Anhinga's feathers aren't waterproof. (Cormorants have a waterproof insulating down that keeps water of their skin).
2. Anhingas behave a lot like a Heron or Egret wile hunting, except that they stalk their prey while under water.
3. The Anhinga makes an incredible transformation while drying its feathers: It goes from a swimming fish eater to a bird able to soar great heights!
We get them a lot here in Florida, very fun to observe.
