Procellariiformes
Northern Fulmar
Procellariformes is an order of seabirds that prefer large, open oceans. This order includes albatross, petrels, and other species. They prefer to nest on solitary islands in colonies, seeking remote, rocky shores to lay their eggs. Within the order Procellariformes are the most endangered species of birds. Humans hunt various Procellariformes species, and pollution and newly introduced predators into their natural habitat have strained colonies of Procellariformes worldwide.
