Mourning Dove
The order Columbiiformes is divided into two families, Raphidae and Columbidae. Raphidae includes extinct species like the dodo, while Columbidae includes the typical pigeon and dove. These birds have four unwebbed toes, short legs, small heads, and little plumage differences between males and females. They can adapt to many habitats and are found worldwide.
