Ciconiiformes
Wood Stork
Ciconiiformes are the order of birds called 'waders.' These are the long-legged birds you typically think of as wading into fresh or saltwater to feed. Flamingoes, storks, spoonbills, and ibises are among the 29 families and 1,027 species found in the order Ciconiiformes. Many species of Ciconiiformes are communal nesters, and it?s not uncommon to find several species nesting together. Their colors tend to change noticeably during the mating season and resting season.
