This is one of the common Grass Skippers. Found throughout southern Canada, south to Oregon and Colorado. It's range is as far south as Arkansas and Northern Georgia.

host plants are many types of grasses and the adults feed on nectar from a great number of plants.

All the Skipper families in west KY, seem to adore my oregano.
