A very striking butterfly! The coloring changes from blue to purple dependings on how the light strikes it.

Can be found at bait station and fruit trays. Larval host is vasey adelia. Prefers to stay in shaded/wooded area rather then come out in full sun. We sometimes get to see dozens and dozens of females ovipositing all over the vasey adelia at the local NABA park during the fall season.
