(Zone 8a) | June 2008 | Positive
This is a widespread species within europe. It flies June to August and has a wingspan between 46 and 56 mm. The caterpillars feed on a wide range of grasses and are green with paler stripes. The caterpillars taper to the front and rear.

The individual in the photographs I have submitted is a male. The body shape of the female is more slender, widening to a more club-shaped end.
