Don't be alarmed, this beetle may look strange but it is a good one.
It's normal habitat is in meadows, bushes and forest edges. Both larvae and adults feed on small insects.
The antennae and lower legs appear to be made of several jointed sections. The sides of the body have an interesting pattern, with what appears to be two rows of several bumps with a cupped section in between each.
