Found about 50 dead ones near a bedroom window after returning from vacation. Not sure how it got in the house, but I'm told it doesn't colonize indoors; more of an annoyance bug.

These guys seem pretty harmless. At our house, we try to carry insects outside without harming them, and the most fun is the click beetle - they keep clicking in between your fingers as you take them out. They seem harmless.

Haveread about this bug but haven't seen it before, at least I don't think so. I remember erading that the bug when in danger, will pretend to be dead and lay on its back. if the predator persists on 'bugging' it it will snap up in the air scaring the predator and makes a loud click and lands away from where it was
