Found cats on my lima bean leaves, could only find two. Captured the smallest one and reared it on bean leaves. FYI, it ate very little of about 3 leaves. It took 42 days from an inch long baby cat to eclosed adult. See my photos of cats (out of focus) and of the chrysalis and adult in bug files photos.

I enjoy these butterflies in my garden. They love lantana as nectar plants. I would rate them as a positive because I enjoy them. However, many farmers rate these butterflies as a negative. Their larvae spend their lives munching on legume leaves. Their larvae is known as the bean leaf rollers.
