In my area, the white peacock lays its eggs on bacopa which tends to grow in roadside ditches. I'd like to know if spraying these roadside ditches for mosquito larvae affects this butterfly caterpillar at all. The butterfly might go unnoticed when just flying through your garden, even though it is white speckled with gold/tan spots depending upon the light. If you are lucky enough to observe it when resting, you will notice a beautiful sparkle to the speckled patterns.

Common throughout Florida but most widely seen in South Florida.
Lives along the edges of lakes, ponds, ditches, and canals. Can also be found in lowest areas of open fields where it feeds on low growing wildflower nectar.
