A pretty, native to US caterpillar, though I have to admit, the adult looks rather dull. The tree where this was found is large, so if there is any damage it will be minimal. We are enjoying learning about the cool native bugs on our property, so I am glad we now know this "fellow".

Look, but don't touch, as it can cause an allergic reaction.
