The buds start off intense, but as it opens and fades, every day it changes and softens to a gloriously complex peach. I can't stop taking photos! This rose is resilient (after nearly being killed by the nursery from under watering) and breath taking. It graces the coveted front porch bed at my house.

This is the one rose I couldn't stop looking at once it started blooming. It suffered only minimal black spot (a common problem in the Pacific Northwest), and bloomed all summer. The colors were most vivid during cool early summer, and during hot mid-summer, they faded to a rather ordinary peach, then revived in cooler late summer. I have uploaded two pictures, one of cool-weather vibrancy, and another of hot-weather fade. Now that I've rearranged my flower beds, Day Breaker is out near the street, for all to enjoy. I'm very glad I decided to plant it in my garden.
