S...Read Morelower growing then the normal Zebra plant,smaller flowers- but it does bloom regularly . They like a fast draining potting soil,and are quick to drop leafs if you let them go too dry. It seems like some adaption to a dry season Aphelandra's must have in habitat,and its still there in the Snowflake. Keep evenly moist and its evergreen.
I have both plain and Snowflake on my porch in the SF bay area..and they got by near freezing temps in Dec 2013. But,they were plenty stressed,and I doubt can take below 30f in any garden setting.
On the other hand..if you want a real eye catching plant by the front door..this is it.
