The Northern Parula is a neotropical warbler that is only a migrant to my area. In the southern U.S., they breed in areas where there is plenty of Spanish moss for nesting or northern areas and into Canada where the lichens serve as nesting material. None of that here.

This female was passing through during the Fall migration. She was surprisingly accepting of my presence.
