Falconiformes
American Kestrel
The order Falconiformes includes eagles, hawks, ospreys and, of course, falcons. Over 66 species are found in this order with habitats spanning the globe. You can find falconiformes in deserts, tundras, forests and grasslands. Females are larger than males. Both males and females have sharp, hooked bills suitable for tearing apart prey, as well as sharp talons for clutching at the prey they catch.
