Add Northwest Indiana to the list. I\'ve never seen one before! I was fascinated by it\'s clicking as I picked it up to try to ID what it was. Found it on a fallen maple tree that was being split for firewood.

Saw four of these beetles on a tepeguaje (lead tree) out at the National Butterfly Center Park (formerly known as NABA Park). I believe these are common but I'd never seen one before, let alone four on the same tree.
