Yep...the smallest butterfly indeed! I've watched them using Pitseed Goosefoot (Chenopodium berlandieri) as a larval host in Hidalgo and Starr county (Texas). Must say though...this plant is stinky! Wait...it's beyond stinky! It's downright nasty smelling! However, it is also the larval host plant for a couple of other butterflies: Common Sootywing (Pholisora Catullus) and Goldenheaded Scallopwing (Staphylus ceos).

Will try to get egg photos...they are just sooooo tiny!
