A gorgeous moth!!! Often referred to as "Cuatro Espejos" in Mexico due to the four mirror-like markings. A female emerged from a cocoon on 101007. She started calling to a mate around 8pm on 101107. A male showed up in my yard at around 10pm and was flitting all around the meshed reptarium trying to find a way inside so I unzipped one side and he immediately flew in. They remained mated from 101107-101207. I released the male afterwards and kept the female in the meshed reptarium. She laid eggs in captivity from 101307-101507 on strips of brown paper hung in the reptarium as well as many more on a Rio Grande Ash sapling and a potted Wax Leaf Privet I had placed in the reptarium.
