I found the Spotted Apatelodes Moth caterpillar (yellow) in my Baptisia False Indigo today 9/21/2023. Newton County, Georgia. Never had seen one before. Beautiful!

The larvae to this moth can have either yellow, white, or gray setae. The ends of the prolegs are red.

Host plants include a wide range of trees and shrubs such as apples, maples, oaks, and Prunus species.
