A cute little skipper indeed! Small black to blackish-brown skipper with a curved row or two of small white spots on the outer forewings. Usually has several small white dots on the head. Likes to perch on vacant weedy spots and in open habitats. Widespread throughout the United States. Flies from Fall to Spring with 2 to 3 broods annually.

Larval host: pigweeds and careless weeds (amaranthus spp).
