Salpiglossis, Painted Tongue 'Kew Blue' (Salpiglossis sinuata)

This was planted from seed last spring and started under growlights. They need darkness to germinate.

'Kew Blue' was easy to grow from seed. Seedling roots are very small and delicate, though, so it is best to thin them out early.

Dramatic, velvety, intense purple-blue, funnel shaped flowers are beautifully veined with gold.

To 2’ tall & 1’ wide, Salpiglossis is extremely floriferous & long blooming - Spring thru Summer if dead-headed.
