Amazing Bob. The full pictures of your gardens have made it clear to me why you chose palmbob as your DG name. Your neighbors must be in awe?!

DavidofDeLand Jan 27, 2013LysmachiaMoon Jan 28, 2013I dont understand why you title this "catastrophe" it looks like a lush beautiful Eden to me! I think it's wonderful to see such lavish, exuberant planting instead of boring shaved lawn. Good job!
DavidofDeLand Feb 02, 2013Came back for a second look. Its so interesting. I love it. When the palms get taller and the heads are above head level It will be more open.
mgarr Feb 28, 2013Plus, no grass to cut. Really cool plants.
palmbob Feb 28, 2013My wife calls it a catastrophe... used to be just a nice clean lawn with nothing in it... just like all the neighbors have... she hates the 'mess' and embarrassing differences that basically show I am obsessive/compulsive
joyous1 Mar 05, 2013Lawns are over-rated and yawn worthy. Besides, you've planted a beautiful garden.
Ronni92 Jun 03, 2013It's gorgeous! If I lived in your zone, I'd try to emulate what you're doing. I'm a huge admirer of your work---it is a work of art, you know!
palmbob Jun 03, 2013Well, you better not marry anyone like my wife or you will be in major conflict over it for all time. 'Art' is obviously a very personal thing... and sometimes impossible to 'force' on others if they refuse to see it as art.
