Hey-Ho! Just another gardener... kind of. If being "just another" anything means you're the go-to for your group of friends on all things horticultural, at any rate. I'm an extreme geek -- sci-fi and fantasy and all that -- but I also have a tan. Geekery and the Outdoors are not mutually exclusive! I hate lawns but love croquet, despise unhelpful bugs but refuse to use chemical pesticides, and have an equally bipolar opinion of round-up, depending on whether all the other alternatives have been exhausted or not. My favorite plants are anything aquatic (I've had a water garden for 8 years as of 2010, and keep way more plants than are necessary in there), things I can eat (weeds like purslane included), and bulbs, because they're the gardener's most convenient flower-producer.
