I am a mother and work full time, so when I have a chance to get out and think about nothing but my garden it helps me de-stress. Working in the yard and creating beauty through various plants is the way I can do something for me. I have been gardening for about 5 or 6 years now. It started when I built a small vegetable garden at our first home. My neighbor was a gardener so I would learn from her and enjoy her flowers, but had not done much more myself. I wanted to garden, partially because it reminded me of my grandmother, who was a wonderful gardener, but I just did not know where to start. When moving into my second house, I decided to make a big perennial bed, and the passion has just built from there.
