I found this forum, because I was searching for more info on my recently purchased "Pony Tail Palm" tree.
I love date palm trees, a lot, as well.
I'm originally from Minnesota, and to me, the palm tree is the "Icon of Warmth." If I'm wherever they are, I know I'll never be cold again! ;-)
