I live on a 138 acre farm in Nichols, Iowa with my husband and two children, daughter 6 and son 16 months. My husband's grandfather also lives on the farm, he's 95. The farm belongs to Grandpa and we will eventually take it over. Currently it is being share-cropped. We look forward to putting an end to that. We're wanting to raise some cash crops on a small portion and pasture the rest in green manure crops to replentish the sandy, eroded soil. Until such time, I have a large garden where I grow vegetables, herbs and flowers. Also have a large amount of garlic planted for future cash crop.
