Basically leafless in April, Fullerton California. You can see the seed pods (they are full of cottony material- a favorite of naturalized feral parrots)

Ceiba acuminata raised from seed from NW Mexico and which blooms nocturnally each May in our yard in Weslaco, TX.

I had two Ceiba acuminata trees in my back yard but with the first freeze I lost them. I have not found any seed or trees for sale anywhere. Truly love the flowers
