Taken on 28th July 2008, Lincoln UK. A female on Clematis flammula, they are 6-10mm in length.

Licking up something from the flower petals. G. minor is much the same with minor exceptions, it has a bristle on mid-tibia where G. maculata does not.

The abdomen of G.maculata is broader than it it long, G.minor is the reverse, longer than broad.

Taken on 1st October 2008, this is a male feeding on Ivy flowers.
