Got this confused with the Assassin Bug. The Assassin bug will attack with an extremely painful bite.

bad dude; it will bite you if u try to pick it off- so move fast; i even had one buzz me to try to get me to leave! they feed on the fruit, esp red tomatoes and cause damage and bad flavors from their saliva; tough to kill when adult.

I find this bug on tomato plants and fruit toward late summer. It pierces the fruit with its long nose and leaves small circular spots.
